Swiss Plant Science Web merges with the Swiss Society of Plant Biology

The Swiss Plant Science Web has a new organizational structure. It merges with the Swiss Society of Plant Biology that will lead the association's activities and website.
The swissplantscienceweb.ch becomes the website of the Swiss Society of Plant Biology and thus, remains the information hub on academic research in plant biology in Switzerland.
Plant biology research in Switzerland excels and covers a vast range of fields. From molecular dimensions to ecosystem level, from basic to applied science. All researchers share a common interest: finding answers to the many unsolved plant biology questions in the fields of plant breeding, conservation, development, ecology, evolution, genetics, systematics and many more.
The Executive Committee of the Swiss Society of Plant Biology is composed of:
- Christian Fankhauser, professor at the University of Lausanne (chair)
- Thomas Boller, professor emeritus at the University of Basel
- Kirsten Bomblies, professor at ETH Zurich
- Cyril Zipfel, professor at the University of Zurich
