31.07.2023 – Species concepts, Integrative taxonomy
01.08.2023 – Nomenclature/ Code (ICZN vs. ICBN)
02.08.2023 – Natural history collections (curation, purpose and modern uses) / visit to the BSM and Botanical Garden
03.08.2023 – Introduction to NGS data sets (types of NGS data, when to use what, experimental design) / visit to the ZSM
04.08.2023 – NGS data analyses I (phylogenetic/genomic inference, divergence time estimation, fossils) / visit to the palaeontological collection -----

Weekend Excursions (5-6 Aug)
05.08.2023 – Excursion to the famous Murnauer Moos
06.08.2023 – Excursion to the Alpine Garden at the Schachen/Wettersteingebirge

Week 2 (7-12 Aug)
07.08.2023 – Hybridization, polyploidization, ILS und HGT (and their impact on evolution, diversification and systematics)
08.08.2023 – NGS data analyses II (population genetics/genomics, gene flow and biogeography)
09.09.2023 – Morphometrics and Imaging
10.08.2023 – KI in taxonomy and systematics; Metabarcoding
11.08.2023 – Data management planning; data archiving / Big Data analyses. Including evening event: Guided tour through “Flowers Forever” an exhibition on the cultural history of flowers in the Kunsthalle Munich.
12.08.2023 – End of Summer School
