It is with great anticipation that we are planning a new the next Joint European Stable Isotope User Meeting - JESIUM 2022, hoping to finally welcome you all at the University of East Finland's campus in beautiful Kuopio (Finland) next autumn. We plan to host it as a hybrid event with an on-site conference and the possibilty to join online.

JESIUM 2022 will have eleven plenary sessions for oral presentations and two poster sessions.
We invite abstracts for the following sessions:

Methodological Advances, 
Terrestrial & Aquatic Biogeochemistry, 
Plant Ecophysiology, 
Paleaoclimatology & Archeology, 
Health & Medical Sciences, 
Food Authenticity, 
Nutrition & Forensic, 
Atmospheric Sciences, 
Soil Carbon & Nitrogen Cycling (with focus on agricultural soils), 
Isoscape & Spatial Variability of Isotopes, 
Geochemistry & Hydrology and Molecular & Intramolecular Biology.

Abstracts concentrating on research on applied stable isotopes as a research tool in these scientific disciplines are welcome to be submitted for presentation either as a talk or in one of the two poster sessions, each one covering four of the eight session topics.

As even the most dedicated scientist will need a break there will be several social side events including a boat trip, icebreaker, conference dinner and Finnish sauna (the latter optional, of course). Finland in autumn does have a lot to offer with nature exploding in colour and (usually) no snow yet on the forests and lakes.
