British Ecological Society
Festival of Ecology BES
Join us in December as the largest and most welcoming ecology conference in Europe – the British Ecological Society’s Annual Meeting – moves online this year. The online conference will have the great advantage of being accessible to even more people around the world. Join in wherever you are to share the latest research, meet new colleagues and develop your career.
While we would have loved to meet in person, having considered various options it is now clear that an online conference is the best way to prioritise health and safety and deal with the uncertainty brought by the coronavirus pandemic.
In addition, going digital allows us to run a large variety of activities over more days with the opportunity to catch up on things later that you might have missed. A real Festival of Ecology.
Call for abstracts opens: 14 September 2020
Registration opens: 21 September 2020
The Festival of Ecology will run for five days from 14 – 18 December, with access to content for a further month to browse in your own time. The conference will include all the ingredients that make the British Ecological Society (BES) Annual Meeting such a welcoming and inclusive conference every year:
- Excellent plenary speakers
- Thematic sessions and workshops
- Opportunities to share your research and participate in live and on-demand content
- Additional activities and social events to find new inspiration and form new connections
We are in the process of finalising the schedule, and will be releasing details as they are confirmed, so do keep an eye on the conference website for updates.
Registration is cheaper when you become a member, thanks to our large conference discounts for members and students, so join today
