Conserving Biodiversity – From Academia to Practice
The Department of Ecology and Evolution of the University of Lausanne (UNIL) is pleased to invite you to a special public symposium in honour of Dr. Georgina Mace and her contributions to conservation.
Dr. Georgina Mace and a number of internationally renowned conservation specialists will give a perspective on conservation through the decades, focusing on Dr. Mace's efforts in producing scientific criteria underpinning the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, and on her more recent work on Ecosystem Services and the Millenium Development Goals.
The symposium is organized jointly by UNIL and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The symposium is public, and everyone is welcome to attend. All talks will be in English.
