DESCRIPTION:The conference is the front runner in the field of microbial ec
 ology\, with an expected 2000 international scientists that attend the con
 ference. ISME17 will take place in charming Leipzig\, a city used to bring
 ing people together\, as the very first trade fair in the world took place
  here\, back in the 12th century. The city also harbors a rich cultural hi
 story\, when it comes to music and the performing arts. Composers Bach and
  Mendelssohn Bartholdy and philosophers Goethe\, Nietsche and Leibniz all 
 called the city their home. Being a true university city\, there is a stro
